Often in EDH you'll just want a 1-mana cantrip to fuel some storm or Izzet shenanigans

It is a reasonable filler counterspell and will make up the numbers and do so well regardless of what you are facing

Despite only going in a few possible archetypes it is very powerful in them being a zero mana hard counterspell with no target restrictions, an acceptable normal cost and no associated card disadvantage for the pitch cost

adds up fast for cards like Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx (excluded from this deck, like Thrumming Stone, for a little spice) and Gray Merchant of Asphodel
